The challenge
Client data at an accounting firm is sensitive, which shaped how Stephano Slack approached AI. The firm had used ChatGPT Enterprise, but security concerns and the risk of hallucinated output meant it had not built in-house agents. For auditors and CPAs who must attest to their work, every answer has to trace back to a verifiable source document, calculation, or report.
The approach
Stephano Slack and Seekr agreed on a strategic collaboration to deploy secure, explainable AI agents across the firm’s core advisory and audit workflows, starting with 401(k) plan auditing and financial data extraction. Starting with a 12-week phased implementation plan, Seekr engineers worked on-site with the firm’s team to understand the audit process and co-develop the solution, rather than handing over an off-the-shelf product. Within approximately 21 days, the firm’s team had a working tool they could use to accelerate their work.

The outcome
Built on SeekrFlow, the solution lets the team trace outputs to their source documents quickly and repeatedly, giving auditors a basis to rely on the results. The firm sees it as a way to address the talent shortage in accounting: staff spend less time on manual data entry, take on more plan audits, and gain experience across a wider range of plans and issues. It also supports the firm’s advisory work with clients.
